  • Installing Docker on RHEL/CentOS 8
As of this writing, Docker Inc. still has not supported Enterprise Linux 8. Therefore, we need to work around this by installing CentOS 7's package on these operating systems.

    Quick installation script:

    Code:
curl -sSL https://raw.githubusercontent.com/tommytran732/CentOS-8-Docker-Script/master/get-docker.sh | sudo bash

If you prefer to do this manually instead, follow the instructions below:

    Step 1: Install dependencies:

    Code:
    dnf install -y dnf-utils device-mapper-persistent-data lvm2

    Step 2: Add Docker's repository:

    Code:
    dnf config-manager --add-repo=https://download.docker.com/linux/centos/docker-ce.repo

Step 3: Install docker with the --nobest tag (which would let you install EL7's package)

    Code:
    dnf install -y docker-ce --nobest

Step 4: Start Docker & Set it to run at Startup

    Code:
    systemctl enable docker
    systemctl start docker
